anthropic records is pleased to announce that sadgiqacea have signed with Candlelight Records. i couldn’t be more excited for Evan and Fred as they enter into a new realm of their journey. sadgiqacea have shown they are determined and have stretched themselves with their no-limits, no-mercy attitude; an outlook that drew me to them from the beginning. they work hard, play harder and display strength in their music and creative process. i am so proud of them!
sadgiqacea will release their full-length album as a joint release with anthropic records (under license from Candlelight). anthropic will release the vinyl version of False Prism on May 14th and Candlelight will release the CD version on May 7th.
False Prism is a journey through the cosmic mental process. i have listened to the album over a hundred times and it literally brings me to tears. the intensity of each song is comparable to being inside a dmt nebula and the only way out is for the vibration of yourself to throw you a rope. each song is twisted ladder of dueling forces spiraling into cerebral destruction which leads to a path of clarity. it is both a psychic war and a triumphant reincarnation.

Dustin from doom-noir.com asked me a few questions. You should check it out. Thank you Dustin for your continued support!
2012 was a crazy year. The year brought new releases, new alliances, new friends and fans and a good workload. Ominous Black released their 10″ recorded by the master, Steve Albini. The album turned heads and continues to do so. I released a successful edition of the Anthrosphere series that served as a gateway for many of the bands featured. I participated in Decibel Magazine’s, Queens of Noise-Women in Metal, issue which was mind-blowing and humbling. I signed Hivelords to Anthropic Records and they will have their debut release in 2013 that will destroy everything you thought you knew about blackened sludge doom wizardry. Ominous Black, Sadgiqacea and Hivelords spent a ton of time out on the road, delivering doses of cosmic doom to unsuspecting cities across the US. Sadgiqacea recorded their new monster full-length with the help of Chris Grigg (Woe, phillymetal.com) which will be released in April of 2013.
Overall, 2012 was fruitful and exciting. I am looking forward to another bad-ass year. Thank you to everyone who helps make us grow, to everyone who bought a record, to everyone that grabbed a sticker or a pin and wears it proudly. Thank you to the awesome people on the road who help book the bands and take care of them while they are in your towns. Thank you to the people who care enough to open their emails and packages and listen to the music we believed in so much that we put it on record or on cd or as a download. Thank you to the people who review the music and hype it up and show us endless support.
I look forward to some nice surprises, new alliances and crazy releases I have up my sleeve. I hope all of you are paying attention to what we are doing over here in our little universe of doom. We are coming at you whether you are ready or not. Here’s to 2013. Get psyched.
hey kittens, it’s that time of year where we make ourselves crazy with holiday cheer.
uh, yea. anyway, the folks here at anthropic records want to make sure you have the best holiday (and by best holiday we hope you are drinking whiskey, listening to metal and smoking..well, you get the point) so we are knocking a few bucks off the Ominous Black 10″ and offering 10% off Sadgiqacea/Grass split. merry merry.
we are all doomed.
love and stuff,
