Sadgiqacea is a two piece hailing originally from new jersey and now residing in Philadelphia. from their humble beginnings in march of 2010, they have taken hold of the metal scene with every mind-altering note they play.
When I first met Evan and Fred last fall, i was amazed by the amount of enthusiasm and positive energies flowing from them. The first thought that came to mind was, “metal needs this band”. They played almost every show they were offered and always had a smile on their faces. They were grateful to play and be heard. This obviously did not go unnoticed. they have shared the stage with 40 Watt Sun, EYEHATEGOD, Floor, Tombs, Cough, Weedeater, Fight Amp, Mose Giganticus, ASG, Funeral Pyre, Hull, and many many others. They have toured extensively throughout the United States and hope to visit Europe, South American, Canada and beyond in the near future.

“The next track of theirs, ‘Avianizer’ is less sludge and higher on the psychedelic scale. It starts off mellow enough before becoming an aggressive barrage of pummeling riffs and again, the drumming is intense. This track is epic at over 10 minutes and they sure do pack a lot into its playing time. They keep it interesting with different guitar variations and moods and after this one is over with, it leaves the listener exhausted. I challenge anyone to keep the neck muscles still during this track. Like I said, these bands are new to me but jesus fuckin christ, what a find! You should find the two tracks from Sadgiqacea totally captivating.” (9.5/10)-Doommantia
“Being a fan of a crunchy well written prog metal masterpieces, I search for bands like this with reckless abandon. I was mesmerized by the two Sadgiqacea tracks on this release (Grass Split). The Great Divide and Avianizer are two of the best tracks I have heard all year.”
“Think of an angry Black Sabbath with Henry Rollins getting punched in the face by Justin Broderick as the vocalist. 10 out of 10.”
“While destroying everything in their path, Sadgiqacea creates an inspiring assault of beauty meets devastation. Monstrously crushing riffs and ambient beauty swirl as the vocals bark at you. The songs are epic and full on sludge. This duo from Philly will leave you begging for more.”
“A journey through the darkest depths of sludge metal, filled with killer riffs, teriffic vocals, and a remarkable dynamic level. The fact that this much noise (and quite beautiful noise, at that) can be created by a duo is truly remarkable – both members of Sadgiqacea would fit under my definition of top-notch musicians. I’d put Sadgiqacea up there as one of the best sludge bands on the international scene right now.”
“The duo is really showing their ability to craft entertaining songs with this (Grass) split. With each release we see them mature in a way that accentuates all of the great things about their music.”

“Hailing from Philadelphia PA, Sadgiqacea(Sad Juh Kay sha) has been blowing minds with their 2 person agro symphony for some time now and in my opinion are the new force in Metal to be reckoned with.”
“All of their music is superb. Loud, Brutal and Heavy from the start with a great Psych Vibe to their music. Their (Grass) Split Release probably showcases their best material to date. Full of heavy Sludge/Doom Riffs to shatter the senses with. Another great release from this hugely talented Sludge Metal band. Highly recommended.”
